The Rivolver Mid Size Carbide Tip Woodturning Chisels are perfect for the serious wood turner who takes pride in their tools and the work they produce with them. These four tools feature either a diamond, round, square or radiused edge replaceable carbide tip for various operations in cutting.
Featuring 12.5″ Black Beech wood handles and an overall length of 19”, these heavy duty tools are perfect for smaller lathe work needing or for users more comfortable with a smaller grip handle. Carbide will last up to 50 times longer than high speed steel making these tools a pleasure and simple to use… no more hours at the grinder putting new sharp edges on your tools. Simply loosen the holding screw and change the tip to a new sharp edge… replace when all edges are used up.
Easy to master, these Rivolver Carbide Tip tools yield remarkably smooth forms that require minimal sanding. Unlike regular turning tools, which require a complex sweeping motion to maintain a smooth cut, these are designed to work by simply advancing or retracting the tip as you move them across the tool rest.
The screw-mounted tips can be loosened and rotated to expose a fresh edge once they eventually show signs of wear, and all can be easily removed for replacement.
The Rivolver CWI-TTC44 finisher has a round tip for shaping and smoothing inside vessels or cutting coves on spindles.
Used in place of a small gouge, the Rivolver CWI-TTC46 detailer has a double-ended diamond shaped tip that excels at cutting narrow beads or coves, and is handy for cutting dovetail recesses for chuck jaws.
Primarily used to remove large amounts of material, the Rivolver TTC47 roughing tool is also capable of finishing cuts on outside curves with the use of the radiused cutting edges of the tip.
The Rivolver CWI-TTC45 square edge tool is for square shoulder cuts.
