The Stallion XS Series (Xtra Special) 14” Band Saws are engineered by CWI Woodworking Technologies to be the ultimate in 14” bandsaws available anywhere today. We offer the XS 14” bandsaw with two power options, 1.75 HP in 110 volt or a slightly more powerful 2 HP model, running on 220 volt power. The XS series bandsaws deliver consistent performance for everything from fine curve-cutting to heavy resawing applications with an admirable 13” cutting height, while utilizing common sized 117” bandsaw blades. The machine’s extra robust 14″ solid cast-iron wheels provide exceptional inertia and vibration dampening, improving cut stability and overall smoothness.
Whether being used at home or in a commercial or educational shop, every detail of the XS bandsaws is designed to provide the ultimate in safety for all users.
Not only are both doors protected with Omron safety switches, the XS saws are the first 14” bandsaws to offer keyed, lockable doors. With the use of the micro switches, the machine cannot be operated if either of the doors are left open.

Having keyed locks on both doors gives the user the option to lock out access to the machines inner workings, creating a secure operating environment without sacrificing convenience for blade changes or maintenance.
The rack and pinion, adjustable height blade guard, fully encloses the blades on all sides maximizing operator safety.
The XS machines are operated with a magnetic safety switch assembly with on/off and a keyed lockable emergency stop button. Having the keyed lockable E-Stop allows users to lock out the operation of the machine when not in use. Using a magnetic safety switch means that if power is lost to the machine, it cannot start up again without the operator pushing the start button.
Also included on the XS Series bandsaw is an emergency stop foot brake system that utilizes Shunan disc brakes, which allows the user to shut down operation instantly when needed.
For resaw work, the saws come outfitted with a deluxe, dual position, (short/tall) 6″ resaw fence and T-Square rail system, ensuring straight, repeatable cuts even on challenging stock.
The generously sized 21″ x 17″ cast table, tilting from 0 to 45 degrees, gives operators the space and flexibility required for bevel cuts, compound angles, and larger workpieces.
To keep the workspace clean and efficient, the Stallion XS saws integrate a dual dust outlet system with one port directly enclosing the blade area under the table, and a second 4″ port at the base of the lower cabinet, allowing the machine to be very adaptable for dust removal.
The Xtra Special dual ball bearing blade guides are a fully “tool less”, simple to adjust guide system. Simply loosen the locking thumb screw and rotate the eccentric adjust bearing left or right and re-tighten when in position. The rear bearing is adjusted the same way with the face of the bearing, not the side of the bearing, providing support to the blade.
To remove or install blades the XS machines are featured with a quick release tension arm, making for simple blade changes. Tension adjustments are performed at the top of the machine with a large four wing adjustment wheel. Adjustments for tracking the blade, locking the blade guide height, and adjusting the blade guide height are all provided with large easy to use machined handwheels. There are two viewing windows for easier blade adjustments.
For better sightlines while working the machine, a Nikki LED light strip with its own on/off switch is standard equipment to brighten the entire working area.
The saw is standard equipped with an “extra wide-base” heavy-duty mobility kit, allowing easy relocation around the shop without compromising stability during use. Additional premium features—such as the deluxe miter gauge and integrated LED work light come standard, adding value and convenience right out of the crate.
